Something profound I realized recently is that everything is a derivative of something else.
everything is derivative — sure.
but derivation doesn’t explain direction.
a copy can point anywhere.
and most point back into the loop, not forward into the unknown.
derivatives keep the world moving in circles.
originals break them.
I would recommend Hermetic philosophy if you want to explore this idea more. The Corpus Hermeticum is a bit intense without any primer so I'd recommend the Kybalion by the Three Initiates 👍
