“I’m done with social media!”.
“Time for a dopamine detox.”.
“Wasn’t the world better when…”.
All of these statements are valid.
I’ve said and do say them myself.
And, I am in the process of putting social media in its box.
We, I included, are junkies of the pursuit of the next fix.
It doesn’t have to be hard drugs or alcohol.
Our world is built on the cue, routine, and reward pathways.
The 80s and 90s are calling and sound pretty alluring with all that simpler life stuff.
Like I’ve said before, there’s the world I long for.
Then, there’s the inevitable world that we’re getting.
No force can stop evolution.
Even if we humans kill every last living thing on the planet
Earth will still evolve in many ways.
As will the solar system and the rest of the broader universe.
Evolution isn’t strictly for life.
It’s for all that is.
Where our world is inevitably headed, barring our total self-destruction, is the rolling up of everything into a single entity.
It will absolutely, 100% happen.
As much as I am for the individual.
And, believe all good things are born of the individual
There is no way a single-person-oriented world can compete with
A world where collective humanity and all that is, is amassed into one thing.
We will become less human and more robot.
Eventually, probably way sooner than we think, we will become 100% robot.
As we do, the great rolling up will occur.
Into an eternal, all-powerful entity.
That’s what God and heaven, and hell are.
Why do you bother I love you I hate you oh god…./:?)
