Ain’t Mathin’
A couple days ago, I picked up 10 random items in my home, and looked at where they were made.
9 out of the 10 were produced in other countries.
Yes, just one was made here in the U.S.
It didn’t surprise me.
What is shocking is how people can engage in such mental gymnastics as to believe we can magically shift from almost total reliance on foreign manufacturers to on-shoring our production.
Think about it.
The U.S. presently produces debt, war, and global destruction.
Oh, yeah, and a financialized and virtualized system made up of useless monetary tools and influencers.
And, the rest of the productive world makes things.
Tangible stuff that we desperately want, and sometimes even need.
Even the components and raw materials for “Made in the USA” are procured from abroad.
The trade war is one we cannot win.
Ultimately, other countries can simply band together and cut us off.
They will.
That’s when everyone will realize we’re screwed.
Imagine the tens of millions of zombies who can’t get their daily doses of psych meds.
The fact that China can cut that off immediately means they’ve already won the war.
It’s over.
Add to that the other drugs, knick-knacks, and indulgences.
If we were able to keep the empire from totally collapsing and succeed at bringing manufacturing back to this country, the factories would be fully automated.
AI and robots would do all of the work with zero, or, maybe at the very most, a few human workers involved.
The masses can’t allow themselves to go down this logical and inevitable path.
It’s too daunting, and the reality of the pain that’s coming is too much to handle.
